Jason graduated with an Honours Degree of BFA in Piano Performance from York University and a Master Degree in Music Education from University of Southern California. He was guided by the well-known pianists: Antonin Kubalek and Christina Petrowska Quilico. He received numerous of scholarships and bursaries including Awards of Distinction: Merit Scholarships, Fine Arts Talent Awards . Jason also holds a B.M. and Professional Pianist Diploma from H.C.M. Conservatory of Music.
Jason is an active member of the National Music Certificate Program, Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT), the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association (ORMTA), the Royal Conservatory of Music Affiliate Teacher Newwork (RCM), and Technic Music Academy (TMA). Jason has also been an adjudicator for exams, festivals and competitions such as The Canadian-African annual piano-keyboard competition, the Ontario Academy of Music festivals.
In more than 15 years of his career as a dedicated piano teacher, Jason has trained all of his students to successfully completed their practical and theory exams with honor, first class honor and honor with distinction certifications. Many of Jason's students have achieved highest awards in regional, national piano competitions and festivals. Some students have went further to become teachers under his guidance and inspiration, they also received admission into music programs in universities.
